Question for TTS: Right now, the schedule says, "Spend Saturday trying to get your best quarter mile time." There's a good chance I am going to be off doing ...other.. stuff Saturday. Would it be possible to have one's best time recorded from Friday or Sunday instead?

You just need one pass. It would have to be on Saturday for a few reasons.

1, Weather changes. If it rains on Saturday, and you were the only one to run on Sunday, that'd be un-fair.
2, Saturday is the Drag Test/Tune day.

If all else fails, if the weather is ok, and you’re not in the 1-3rd place running’s, I'd be just fine with it. It’s the other competitors that will hate on you.
