Your mom's place
Seriously though, there's TONS of spots along the river just north of downtown minneapolis, that's where I'd go!

What kind of background are you looking for? People can probably reccomend different spots for what you're looking for.
Any parking ramp in either down town is usually cool. Otherwise there is a place that I like by the MOA that has a really nice plain cement wall that makes the focus of the picture all about the car.

Re: Whats a Good place for taking pix???
^^^Definitely agree with the MOA place...especially at night or RIGHT on sunset hours. Not too sure if you can go all the way to the top but you can get some fascinating pictures there. If you're around the cottage grove area, highway 61 going towards 494 (even towards 94) is an awesome route for taking photos (specifically rolling shots). I've always wanted to do some pictures under the 35W bridge. Also what Scheides stated, there's plenty of places right along the river near Minneapolis also.
Once Fall rolls around and turns the leaves all orange/reddish, there is a small road at Harriet Island...I forget the road but you can take some pretty nice shots there.
