Re: extrude honing stock intake manifold

Waste of money. My buddy had it done to his supercharged SVT contour, and barely saw any gains. For the money, just find a used Magnus or another aftermarket IM.

Umm, the CSVT all ready came from the factor with an exude honed intake manifold, this was one of the many differences between it and a standard 2.5 Contour. Correct me if I am wrong, but once the manifold was allready honed, there would be little to no gains by repeating the process?

He has a Tarus 3.0 block with Escape 3.0 heads, IIRC he used the lower manifold off the Escape and the regular 2.5 CSVT upper. He had the lower extrude honed and ported and extrude honed the upper too. He gained a few lb/ft of torque, but for the money he paid he said he just should have spent it elsewhere.

Since you're going to be spending a lot of money on the car you might as well just get an aftermarket. Then you never have to worry about upgrading again. Just my .02 cents.
