Re: T-revzr's Evo
But how much bigger is the FP Black compared to the FP Red? Do people really need the double pumper with the black?

I am using a double pumper with the red. So yea, you probably need one on the black. E85 is demanding.

Re: T-revzr's Evo
Well im on E85. I have heard the walbro 255 doesn't really work past 430 whp on a mustang dyno. So if I wanna push my car farther I was told to get a double pumper. Because I guess I would be fine with pte 1000's and a double pumper. Or maybe I'll just get FIC 1250's and run one pump. But if that dont work I could of saved money and not bought the injectors and just bought the double pumper.

I got a blaqops one, they are real nice, pretty much what all the Evo X guys use. They make them for the 8/9's too.
I would personally get the double pumper and never look back.
At a minimum, with that size turbo you have, you should re-wire your 255 in tank so you can get more voltage out on it. Or as Shane had suggested for me at one point, you could do a KB boost a pump.
I still think a double would be clean and easy, but who knows.

No problem, ask Shane about it if you have more questions. I know he is familiar with them.

Re: T-revzr's Evo
The boost a pump is a pretty easy way to go really. I make a little more than 500 on just boost at DB on e85, single 255hp, 1600s, stock fuel filter and lines, and a great tune. This is on a dsm, but I would imagine it would transfer over to an Evo the same way. I learned the idea from Shane and I know they (DB) has sold and installed a lot of them. Might be a simple/cheaper route.
I wanna see what this thing can do once its all finished up!

FP Black has a 82mm compressor wheel and the Red is a 76mm. Actually, the black has the same compressor as your DSM82 turbo (but in reverse rotation).

Re: T-revzr's Evo
I think the boost a pump is cool and looks clean. However, the nice thing about the double pumper is you future safe yourself. I think the FPblack will be able to max out the Boost a pump...but I could be wrong.

Re: T-revzr's Evo
Just got off the phone with Shane. Were just gonna leave it how it is for now. When tuned will go from there and figure out what I should do next.

Interesting product but I haven't read about any Evo builds that use them.

Consistent or not it does read higher than the other AWD dynos in town. I'm planning to run my car on all of them when my power mods are done...just for giggles.

Consistent and Comparable to what? Another Dynojet?
Dyno Dynamics are still better from a tuning standpoint, and any dyno can put out huge numers, all you have to do is change the correction
I hope you're not implying that Shane "fudges" the numbers...

Re: T-revzr's Evo
BAP's have been in use forever and ever, Mellon used one on his evo8 for a LONG time:

Re: T-revzr's Evo
BAPs might even be older than evo's!!
DD load bearing dyno = awesome for SD style tuning.

Re: T-revzr's Evo
BAPs are old. We have to use them on a lot of returnless style fuel systems with a stock fuel pump also, because Walbros often burn up when run on a returnless/deadhead fuel system. Me and Brad use them on our DSMs, Nate uses one on his 700whp Civic and Kiggly uses them or something like them on his 8 second FWD DSM.
