I had never heard of them until a few months before I bought mine. Tons of people were seeing great numbers with them and ultimately I think it was shane that turned me onto them over the 280's. They did move my boost threshold back a bit but the top-end is undeniably better, which was exactly what I wanted. The added lift and smoother idle sold me on them, but for a 100% stock valvetrain the hks 280's with their low lift and gentle ramp rates are still my #1 recommendation. 'Race' cams, you know
