I was mostly just being a snide asshole with that comment. I just can't see giving up one of the best ECUs and best knock control ever for a lowend standalone on a car that has good options for it already. Swap in an Evo ECU, if you want all kinds of cool stuff to play with.

DSM ecu's run injectors sequential, not batch.

DSMLink can do speed density, but a MAF setup is superior for most street cars. We convert 80s Mustangs away from speed density to MAF setups often.

DSM ECU's can't directly run COP, but the stock ignition is great in the first place. Direct COP is often not better than a coil pack wasted spark setup.

Wideband is not important with the stock ECU, stock O2 sensor or none at all works fine.

DSMLink can't do flexfuel easy, but the difference between E70 and E80(I don't normally see over 805) isn't huge for most cars.
