Love your avatar! lol. You're right but I'm taking my first trip to Asia in October and I wanted to be able to visit "my" kids. I definitely plan on going to Laos down the road.

Congrats!!! I'm waiting for the day to go back to! It's amazing over there and a very eye opening experience. If you think the Lao and Thai food here are good. Wait til you go there... 1000x better. Anyway do you have anybody your staying with or just hopping from hotel to hotel?

I LOVE Thai food. That's why I chose it as my first visit to Asia. I'm going on my own and will spend one week in Bangkok and one in Jomtien (Pattaya).

I have a lot of Vietnamese friends and I speak some Mandarin (a year of college) so I'm looking forward to future trips to Asia.
