Re: Any one go to Wyotech?? UTI??

I graduated Wyotech(laramie) in 2000. The basic auto classes probably teach you what you'd learn anywhere, but the high performance and chassis fab is probably where the real value comes in. Although, I think the name of the two schools will get you into dealerships some other techs wouldn't get.

And to your question about the degree/diploma(associates degree I'm assuming), I'd do it. It will get you to a service manager position(later in life when your back sucks) easier then being "just a tech". But like everyone has stated, the MOST important thing, is you take the classes VERY seriously and take FULL advantage of the opportunity. Getting drunk a lot will hurt this.. I watched a lot of guys F up their schooling because of it.

Laramie isn't for everyone, but I had a BLAST. Skied Steamboat more times then I can count, mountain biked some of the best trails I've ever been on, hiked some sick mountain shit, went mudding like nobodies business, went to U of W parties, got a gym membership at U of W, went down to Denver a few times, went to Cheyenne a bunch, drove out to hot springs in the mountains, did a lot of street racing on deserted mountain roads. But really, it comes down to who you make friends with, and how active you want to be.
