Re: Comfort comes home-Project Lexus GSX

You should have just bought a stock shell and swapped the important drivetrain parts.

And scrap my car? Why would I do that? By the time I spent all the time and money to make some crappy 180k shell as nice as my car, I'd have spent 3x as much and wasted a good car. The shell game if for those looking to have a 11-second car for $150, like Hughes.

LOL I bought my car in running order and drove it nearly as-is for almost a year!

I'm not sure about a 11-sec car for $150, but I think I can make a 12-sec car for $100!

To make a 12-second AWD 1G all you need is some race gas and removing some parts. Drop the entire exhaust off the car at the track, hack the MAS just a litle bit and unplug the vacuum hose to the wastegate, then run 12s if the clutch has anything left.

That's also assuming 150 psi in most of the cylinders and a fairly recent tune-up. That's a lot to ask in some cases.

That's alot of sound-deadening! That's awesome. You're going to have a pretty sweet and comfy DSM. A 2 door, hatchback, luxury car with a roll cage and 3.5" exhaust. Nice!
