Re: EGR check engine

Is the EGR system different on 94's? every DSM (90-92) I have worked on I have always disabled the EGR systems and blocked it off with a plate. No CEL.

If your EGR system is broken, you may want to consider blocking it off with a plate.

I do not believe that any harm can come from your car with a stuck open EGR system, although a car with a stuck closed EGR system is what is desirable.

Well you'd have a massive boost leak if you have a failed egr system.
