Ya I'm confused on what you're saying you set to 10* or 5*. You put the belt on in such a way that all your marks line up.

Then you change your base timing (degree) with the Cam Angle Sensor so you're at 5* BTDC with the timing plug grounded.

yeah you got it... you can adjust the base timing to whichever degree you want by advancing or retarding the cas. but make sure your tdc is at 0 after your set your timing belt..
