Re: whats with everybodys cars breaking?

Most DSM issues are related to worn out transmissions or half assed installs (mismatched mods, short cuts, bolts/fittings not torqued properly, poor maintenance of worn out parts). If you have been in the game awhile or worked/helped out at a local shop once or twice, half assed it what you find most of the time with issues.

And I'll admit that I have been responsible for most of the issues I have had with my dsm over the years, its a learning experience and I have found that my car had become more and more reliable as I have screwed up and learned what does and doesn't work.

Some mistakes I have made looking back is buying go fast parts more than once (550cc, 660cc, 780cc, 1600cc injectors), shitty turbo (2g20g eliminator). Dealing with shitty vendors and listening to idiots on message boards (turbochagers.com, crooks on trader, dsmtuners) could have skipped a few of those and saved some cash. Buying DSMlink, fuel pumps, injectors, and bigger turbo before replacing worn out motor mounts and suspension which led to drive train issues from increased power and uneven worn tires due to sloppy suspension and just overall scary handling at higher speeds. I am also not ashamed to admit that I probably fucked my 7 bolt up (spun bearing) from prolonged detonation and not dropping the pan to remove blown turbo bearing material back when I was just learning how not to tune a dsm. I'd love to go back 6 years and slap some sense into me, ha.

Only original parts I am still running are my joe p. MBC, boost gauges, air filter setup, and 2g head.
