If you are under 21, then ya it's not so great. But if you're 21+ and you go to Phoenix and you hate it, then you either did not know where to go, you don't like to party and have fun, or you're idea of fun involves reruns of the Golden Girls and a jar of vasoline. Phoenix is awesome. Ghetto? ya maybe inside Phoenix. Just like parts of Minneapolis are ghetto. But go into a Phoenix suburb like Mesa, Tempe, Chandler. It's nicer there. There's even nice places in Phoenix. It's like someone from out of state who comes to the U of M, and says "Oh the Twin Cities is one big ghetto" just because all they've seen is the area around the U of M. My mom just bought a house. It's so nice. It's on this little lake. She has cactus' in the front yard, in the back she has an orange tree, lemon tree, raspberry bushes, and someother fruity plants. It's nice as heck, and I think cost them like 170 grand. It's way nicer than the house in Maple Grove they just sold for like 200 grand. The cost of living in Phoenix is just under that of MN. For every 30grand you spend on a house in MN, it would only be about 28 grand in Phoenix. Close, but adds up once u get to a lil more expensive house. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that the Phoenix area is not ghetto, assuming it is from what you've "seen" is nothing but an assumption, because you are wrong.
