How is it a waste of money? Maybe in your broken down rusty DSM eyes, but in his eyes...the guy taking out his wallet to bankroll it...he views it as a good way to spend his hard-earned dollars. You yourself said it "looked cool", maybe that was his goal. Don't be so closed minded and worry less about what other people spend their money on. If you think its dumb, then fine, thats your opinion and you are entitled to NOT spend your money on that particular aspect of car modification. Just like loud/powerful stereos, everyone has their own thing they are in to.
