Fuel Injector Clinic Fuel Injectors

Just wondering what you guys think of them, they seem cheap, I just dont want them to be "cheap" ya know.

I have a 20G now, and I want to upgrade to a 50 trim, what size should I get?

Re: Fuel Injector Clinic Fuel Injectors

More information would be nice. What are your supporting mods? What fuel managment you going to use? Fuel pump? FPR? If you are using a stand alone you can get bigger ones just incase you upgrade in the future.

But you start to limit how big you can go when you are using just a piggy back. If you went with big injectors then you might have to get a EPROM ECU and get a custom chip burned for it to compensate for the larger injectors. I can't remember how big of injectors you can get while just using a SAFC but I would guess its not very big.

So anyway you need more information on your goals, your post is way to vague to give you an educated opinion.

Re: Fuel Injector Clinic Fuel Injectors

You won't need anything more than 650s with either turbo.

My bad, 255, AFPR, eprom ecu(chipped for the RC 550s), safc2, hard intercooling, 3inch exhaust. 91 GVR4 (4-500 awhp would be cool)(I realize I may only see 390awhp)

I was thinking 650, but I was wondering should I go 750.....because back in the day when I went to the 550s I almost immediately wished I got something bigger

You will be able to max out the 50 trim with 650s. But if you are a EPROM ECU you could get bigger ones and just get a chip made to compensate for them.

I am not sure what the FIC 650s are rated for as far as horsepower goes though and I am too lazy to look it up.

650s will be good for you for high 400whp. You won't max them out on either turbo.

Re: Fuel Injector Clinic Fuel Injectors

I used to have FIC 650's, they worked fine and seemed to be decent quality.

Re: Fuel Injector Clinic Fuel Injectors

One thing we are all guilty of, including myself, is that we don't plan for the future and wind up spending more money than we need to. After slowly moving up the chain, 550, 750, 780, I finally decided to run FIC 1000cc injectors on DSMLink. I really haven't seen any drivability problems with bigger injectors in the sizes we talk about. I have heard idle is tough to tune on the 1600cc injectors, but no real life experience here.

Ask yourself this, what is the most power you want to make, what is the biggest turbo you will ever bolt up, etc and buy what you would need for that. Don't buy for today, buy for tomorrow.

The FIC injectors that I've had seemed to work great. They are what most of us run.

If you swear on "Scout's Honor" that you'll never go bigger than a 50 trim, 650-750cc would do it. I would lean more to the 750cc if you can tune them in on your set-up. Gives you a little more room to grow.
