That is true, you're halfway there. So if you can afford it go external. You'll never regret it, and never have to worry about boost creep. I fought boost creep on my 16G from the day I installed an exhaust.
Otherwise post a pic of what you are talking about. But it really does seem like a lot of trouble to go through for what is basically inadequite setup on a decently modded car.
