Well I dont have much of a choice, but I'm not racing on pavement in a straight line either.
The helmet that I use is a Peltor Pro Open Face in Carbon Fiber (g77) and retails for over $600. I don't race 3 times a week but when racing I may have to wear it for a couple of hours before I get a break. After putting this on for the first time and then breaking it in I will never go back to a cheap helmet again. It just fits better. That goes for the bike too (Shark RSX $450)
