I should say, that it not the cables, because i tried to shift into gear right where the cables end up on the tranny, and i still couldnt do it.

Was the car running? Did you roll the car at all? Is this a new trans that hasn't been run before?

The tranny came out of my old car, which ran perfectly fine. By "roll" do you mean, push the car, or flip it over? It didnt flip over but, I did push it out of the street when it was crashed. No, not a new trans, it was a very good tranny and shifted very nice, until this happened. I remember trying to push it into the gears, right after being in the accident, but i couldnt go into 1st or 2nd then either. I assumed it was because something was pushed up against the shifter cables.
