My DSM is just a daily driver, not a jackstand racer. I've got a Camaro for that.
Does Shep do anything to get his slicks up to temp before a pass?

All I have ever seen him do is clean them off. I am not sure if he started anything recently though.

That's cool and all, but it would be cooler if he was driving a 1.8!

Why? There is nothing wrong with running nitrous. You can run nitrous on just about anything, it's more streetable and simple than a turbo setup. Hell, he runs methanol, so nitrous is no where near "cheating" compared to running meth.

Meh. I would just rather have my car hit those times without having to press a little red button. But I do give him props. Putting anytihng in your car to get the best time you can is worth it. I would just rather not have to use it.

Re: Shep goes 8.1@177.6mph at ATCO
Too bad he doesn't have to hit a "litte red button". He runs his nitrous through the AEM so its all automatic. I am not sure of his exact setup, but I am sure he has it set to spray different amounts based on boost and RPM.
Oh yeah and there is nothing wrong with running nitrous. You could say a turbo is cheating over a N/A car too.

Ok whether or not he pushes a fucking button makes no difference. I was just trying to get my point across. Anyone could have spray and as soon as the spray hits well there ya go, no work needed. But that would be boring. Did you miss the part about me giving him props. I was giving my opinion about what I would want with my own car. Your taking this the wrong way. Why would I talk shit when I drive the car I drive. Exactly. I wouldn't. Because I can't compete.

But there's so much more than just slapping on nitrous. As if boost or nitrous isn't bad enough, adding them together can be like playing with matches in a munitions factory.

Nitrous is more risky to use than boost is, so I would say you just press the button and away you go. Nitrous is picky about bottle pressure and timing everything together correctly. The AEM is great for the timing part, but everything happens so fast with nitrous that is becomes difficult to tune it.
Basically I don't run nitrous because I am scurred.
