DSM Fidanza 4.3

Figured I'd share this with everyone else.

This is what my 4.3 looks like after a grand total of around 5k miles, ~4-5 months of part time use, and somewhere around a total of 8-10 launches. I hardly think that I really abused this clutch. I hardly ever launch the car, mainly from roll pulls which I would imagine is much less abusive to a clutch then repeated launches.

As you can see, there's lots of friction material just missing. One whole puck is missing all its friction material. And various others missing pieces of it.

The PP is burned to bits. The close up is a spot where it looks like maybe one of the missing friction pieces actually made a small gash in the PP surface.

I'm waiting to hear what Fidanza has to say about this.

Here's the pics

Maybe Southbend is making the clutches for them.

Re: DSM Fidanza 4.3

I don't find it hard to believe that damage like that could happen very quickly under in the right circumstances.

At least you're replacing it.

Glad you got it replaced. That thing must have been slipping since day # 1
