Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI Project
If the block is still in the car when you're putting the head on, I would put the intake mani on the head before putting the head on the block. The bottom bolts/nuts are almost impossible to get to once it's in the car.

What they said, when we took the head off my car, it would have been pretty tough to get the IM off without the head off the car, so I'm sure it would go the same way while putting it back together.

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI Project
OK Since i have been banned for the past like forever. i have made lots of progress on the car. because i havnt been tied up with whoring up the shoutbox and stuff.
Update: Piston showed up last weekend. It was wrong. Way wrong. MAP has been great through this. and ordered the correct one and has been getting dicked around by their distributor and it was supposed to be here last wednesday, then today, and i dunno maybe tomorrow. Their distributor keeps telling them tomorrow.
So while i have been bored and waiting for the piston and even more bored because i havent had style. i have done quite a few things.
- Cleaned the carpet, While taking out the front seats i found a Stewart Warner Ultra-Shift Light. Which i was excited about. It has a digi readout that tells me my rpm. woot.
- Cleaned up the turbo.
- Gapped the rest of the rings. most of them were ok except for one was a little tight. now its perfect.
- cleaned the piston tops so no carbon and look like new.
- Mounted the electronic trigger for the Crane Ignition.
- Wired up the Ignition
- Wired up the new boost gauges (it does a cool opening ceromony that i found exciting.)
- Wired up oil pressure.
- Put everthing together and put in the seats.
- Polished the water pipe as it was looking rusty.
- Cleaned all interior from dust and debris.
- Got the rear seat from TKR, thanks mark
- Got the rest of the plastics from CarPsycho Thanks Mike.
- Installed plastics. and rear seat, looks like a complete dsm from the inside.
- Other Misc Stuff.
Happy St. Pattys day. !
Tom

Whats left.... I still need to do the following:
- Get the correct piston
- install all of the pistons
- put everything back together, Head, turbo, oil pan, tcase, timing belt, FMIC.
- Bolt up the rear diff
- Install thermal exhaust
- Start car, and adjust ignition timing.
and drive.
But all that is waiting on a piston that is sitting 1400th in line at mahle to be created.
Ill get some pics up today of everything.
