Hope we never used one at your shop when getting tuned  I *think* I tried to be careful about that and used our check card...but I could be wrong. If so, I owe you a cheese pizza.

I mostly use the AmEx with online purchases (Paypal, Amazon) since a lot of places don't take them.
I know a few people that run businesses that whine about the fees but they can choose to not take cards or raise their prices to whatever the market will support. They have control over their incomes moreso than I do...

We have to take them regardless, it's part of being a business. The Amex corporate cards are the worst as far as fees.

im just waiting for all businesses to say we've had it. We are no longer accepting any forms of payment other than cash. Just like they did with Checks.

Not out of the question. They've made it illegal in most places to offer a cash discount. I never carry cash since it can be stolen and there's no benefit to paying cash.

Actually they allow cash discounts (at leat visa/mc do), but you can't charge extra for cards. Same thing really, just the way it's marketed. I hear about all this stuff from my friend who works for a credit card processing company. |
