Ha, if I got half the amount of shit Swifty does, friendly ribbing or not, I would probably do the same thing.

^Truth!
Good luck Switfy, you're staying in the game a lot longer than I would have of if I had as many problems and bad luck as you have had. Keep it up and kick some ass with it someday

Not really the response I was looking for emo-boy! I just think it's nuts to post pics on facetube and not on an actual car site, where you have a thread that's 100% dedicated to the status of your car/project. Everyone was sad to see you not run last weekend, maybe me most. Then you kinda leave us in the dark (no, not everyone is on fb) so other than a few random posts in the SB and me begging you to know what's up, we get nothing.
Scandalous.

How so? All he does is get endless amounts of shit here for anything he does, good, bad or otherwise. I don't blame him.

It's true. When you spend years building some big badass drag car yet it never makes a pass, what do you expect?

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!
Just so you all can STFU about me never updating..
Car is fixed..sorta. Replaced the stupid bolts for the flywheel, after cleaning it all off, reassembled, etc. Took it for a drive today, to get some gas, enjoy it, and get a fuse so I can finish wiring the cut-off switch for the alt. dirrectly to the batt. I noticed in my work, that ANOTHER thing is broken..the stupid mounting bracket that the alt. mounts to! So, it's hitting the inner frame! Anyone know if Jay racing warranties these? Either way, I need that bracket! I also put my helmet on and sat in the car, and I dont think i'll notice my shift light or anything outta my peripheral vision since it's on the ceiling, to the right of the rear view mirror (I didnt want it on the dash cuz it's kinda ricey-don't hate) but now I need to move it down and over on the left side so I can see it..however...were do I put the 2 pod gauges? I dunno what the fuck I'm going to do.
Either way, that bracket needs replacing, and I cannot race on Sunday, unless it's fixed. I swear, if it's not one thing, it's something little and dumb like this that gets in the way of me just making a fucking pass!

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!
it WAS back on the road, till this damn bracket broke! And, no I have a helmet, it's just that the fricken stock tach throws me for a loop, and the other one is too far outta my line of sight when i am trying to stare at the road..

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!
Good luck with the bracket, maybe someone here can weld it for you?
I say for the shift light, just duct tape the bitch to the dash after you go through tech just so you can run, then move it where ever after this weekend. Good luck on making a pass this weekend.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!
Yeah their old style aluminum brackets break ALL the time. Usually they'll send you a new steel one. Just have a local shop weld it up quick while jayracing ships you a new one.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!
Primo welded up the new bracket, and I got it all back together. I still need to call Jay and get the replacement bracket he said he'd warranty. I also wired the alt. to the batt correctly so now when you flip the batt cut off switch, car dies instantly. I then also moved the pillar gauges, and tach over to the "ricer" position on the dash, so atleast now I can see the damn thing, especially when wearing a helmet. Perhaps tomorrow I'll fine tune the 2-step, and go do a few street pulls. We'll see.
