Re: MAP's 2008 Evolution X GSR Build Thread aka Project GGX
These are 18 x 9.5" Work Emotion CR Kai The outer edge of the wheel lines up almost perfectly with the body line, although I do need some wider tires, they are 245's right now I need 255's or larger. Anyone know if I will have issues with rubbing in the rear?

Lomker should know, he runs 265's on his 9.5's. I don't think he rubs.
What offset are you running?
Go 265's if you get new tires, unless it rubs, fill that rim out!

Re: MAP's 2008 Evolution X GSR Build Thread aka Project GGX
What is the offset? I run 18x9.5 +28 and it's perfect. Anything more aggressive and you'll want to roll the rears. I'm running Star Specs in 265 but I could run a 275 in an NT05/narrower tire.

The offset is +20 on these so they would fit Evo 8 without spacers, thoughts?

Sounds good (the offset), just throw some meat on there! 265's get my vote but 255's might be safer.

Agreed. I'd say roll the rears or go 265 in a narrow tire.

Shave and polish... boom looks like a Magnus SMIM.
If you don't want bling, then shave and coat with thermal dispersant.

Nah Quoted it for Kracka to look at it.
Used his website so I wouldn't totally thread jack this thread by using a competitors website.
Anyways, back on topic, sick Evo X. Whoever got your IX is a lucky piece of shit.

He was just a serious buyer, who made an effort to see the car, and get his money to the seller ASAP. No luck involved.
Impressive bolt on gains!

LOL what?? I said he was lucky because he got a clean Evo from a shop owner... Not because he went and bought it first rofl...
I like that heat shield / air director... Is that a MAP piece?

Re: MAP's 2008 Evolution X GSR Build Thread aka Project GGX
I would of 100 percent bought your VIII had it been for sale a month or two from now. That is a bomb deal.
For now I'll be happy with a clean DSM.

I cant even remember how many times I heard that with my evo and eclipse. Good price for a nice car. Cant wait to see where the new car goes.

Sweet, good to hear it sold. It was a nice car, no idea it had those miles, but on a modded car, who cares, it's all replaced anyways.

Re: MAP's 2008 Evolution X GSR Build Thread aka Project GGX
Got our new MAP 3.5" short ram intake installed late last week, it will be offered with a reducing coupler for the stock turbo inlet and a larger one for those of you with turbo upgrades
Due to the removal of the stock MAS housing this unit will require tuning. Although I doubt this will be many people's first modification here are the gains we realized from this intake and MAF scaling adjustments, no timing or boost adjustments as of yet:

Know why you gained 22hp from just an intake and maf. That's nuts. I wish I owned an evo x. Can't wait to see what you do to it next.
