Re: Help SportBikes

Holy year old thread n00bs.

There is a lot of good advice in here though. I am thinking about getting a bike but I am just gonna buy an old Honda 550 or something that I can learn on. Something that I wont care if I crash.

I hope you are joking. A busa is a pretty heavy bike and not as forgiving if you run into trouble. I would take a GSXR 1000 over a busa any day of the week. Now back to the subject. If you are scared that you are going to get mangle stay away from bikes. Even though I only have been riding for only three weeks now. I enjoy it alot. I like to drive but it does not compare to thrill of riding a bike. Just make sure you buy the proper equiment. Go to Bob Cycle in Saint Paul. They have some great deals on apperal. Listen to Jet on the bikes. I own a Suzuki SV650S and I love the bike. It handle great and in stop in go traffic the V-Twin helps out alot. You also get your torq at the low end so you don't have to crank the shit out of your throttle to get it to go. Everyone one I talk to say that a SV650S will not have any prolblem keeping up with 1000cc bikes. The only bad news it that the SV tops out at 135 MPH. Once I get more riding time under my belt I might get a GSXR 600 just for the hell of it. If you don't know much about a SV. Google it and you will see it has a strong following just like DSM and can be made to race at the track.

Re: Help SportBikes

I thought this thread seemed familiar. R1 - Why did you feel the need to drag it back up? Must be those triangles rattling around inside your head

Re: Help SportBikes
