Im going to find proof but distilled water will still corrode. H2O is H2O having all those minerals and chemicals will probably speed up the corrosion process but distilled water, I think, will still have a corrosion factor becuase of the chemical reaction with metal.
Yea carb cleaner will work to as it is a degreaser like I suggested.
