Looking at the pics, I think this car looks very clean. in person may tell a different story, but I looked at about a dozen cars before buying mine and this one looks better in pics than anything I saw. What do the seats look like? IMHO this a tell tale of a clean car, especially on the non leather, non MR/SE seats

The 60k service to some might be a hit to your asking price, but for me, it wouldn't be more than a $500 bargaining chip. I think the fact that this car is as clean at is would make up for it. Just look at the wheels.... not curbed, and don't even look like they have a hint of stain that you see on cars half this old. Do you have the stock hood? seeing a CF hood on a car will alienate some of your better buyers.

To sell this car, take bigger, better pics showing off the car and how good of condition it is in. Try to get a stock hood in the process. Show more pics of the interior.

Craigslist is just a avenue for lowballers to get in contact with you, but you have to remember that it only takes one buyer. Sometimes, that is the first person to contact you, sometimes that is the 100th person to contact you.

And one last bit of advise that I have picked up along the way... I absolutely hate when listers state things like ->
- no lowballers -> then why list it on craigslist because 99% of watchers are lowballers. You know this going in
- I don't have to sell -> then why have it for sale?
even stating "no test drives" or "serious buyers". You can weed out the tire kickers pretty easily with a short conversation, no need to state this in the ad. It will only deter the "serious buyers" from even contacting you. I had no issue getting a test drive in the cars that I went to look at. nobody asked to see the money upfront.... they could tell I was a serious buyer and wasn't interested in a joyride or wasting their time

When listing on craigs, IMO, NOBODY lists their best price in their ad. If you do, you are foolish to think people will take that seriously. Craigs is a lowballers haven and the prices listed are a starting point at best. When selling a car, if someone contacts me via email or phone, I will not discuss price beyond my asking price. If they want to lowball me, over the phone without seeing the car, then they are only trying to see how easy I will drop the price. This goes both ways. I am currently shopping for a car, and I get things like "the price is firm and if that's a problem, then we shouldn't waste each others time".... to that I say, I haven't see the car in person, but your asking price is higher than NADA values the car at (NADA's trade in price + tax is what is what I use for my reference). If they have issue with that, I don't want to deal with the person and I move on.

/rant - Just things to think about

I don't disagree, I'm just one of those that'll get the most outlandish quote on needed work and use that to talk people down... that's just how I buy. Note that I said try, never said I wouldn't pay the asking price, because I definitely would. This car looks to be well worth the asking price.

Re: 03 evo8 for sale

Thanx for the info guys. Here's more pics that I uploaded. The rim, is the passenger side and it has a slight curb damage. The other rims has some slight curb damage but not as bad as this one. The driver seat has some wear due to getting in and out of the car. Very common on these recaro seats. I do have the stock hood and other parts but cannot get any pics due to moving and its buried somewhere. Anyone needs a specific angle, just let me know. I'm also lowering my price down to $16,500, if anyone's interested. Sorry, I don't check my mails often, but I'll try to respond to any questions, offers, interest as soon as I can.
