Hmm... wonder what the specs are on that netapp you have. I am in a project of converting us from a file cluster using windows server, to using DFS and a netapp system. We purchased one (around 100TB) with 2 Filers, and we are about to purchase a second. Except ours only cost us $185k. Maybe its because we are a bigger company. 
Keep your eyes on that beast. Ours isnt even in production yet, and we have had them replace the motherboard, a bunch of cards, and now they are replacing the full unit. (hence why DR is a huge thing with this project)
