Re: New DSMer here!

Thanks for the compliments guys! The car came with the paint job, i havn't seen a DSM the same color yet so i guess it makes it kinda unique. And it is a FWD in need of a turbo tranny lol. The mods are K&N air intake, straightline specialties intake pipe, bigger intercooler pipes, HKS SSQ BOV, Halman pro MBC, custom heat shield, ACT 2100 clutch with street discs, short throw shifter, new 14B turbo with pry about 8k on it, full 2.5 inch exhaust with no cat and a 5 inch can out the back, K&N breather filter and ARP head studs. Also it has KYB adjustable AGX's all the way around with 2 inch eibach drop springs. There might be a few more that im forgetting and internals on it are unknown. What do you think i should do to her next? SAFCII? And any guess on how much Horsepower im putting out?

If you need a trans I would do that first. Are you still on the NT trans? If you swap over to the turbo trans you'll need a turbo clutch and flywheel and starter plate. Also make sure the trans is a 90-91 so you can keep the same axle shafts.

After that, I guess the sky is the limit. I would do a nice fmic kit, go with some injectors and a fuel pump, safc2 or a maf-t and max out that 14b.

ya it has the n/t tranny in it and it just recently took a shit on me. a few guys on here wana sell me one but im not sure what year motor is in it or what year tranny would work in it. the previous owner thinks its a 92 motor so im kinda confused.. How could i tell? And would i need a turbo clutch if it already has a ACT2100 clutch in it?

Yes, you need a turbo clutch and flywheel because they are different.

I'm not sure on how to identify what years the transmissions are from. I just know mid way through the 1g production run they changed the axle sizes.
