DSM ecu's run injectors sequential, not batch.
DSMLink can do speed density, but a MAF setup is superior for most street cars. We convert 80s Mustangs away from speed density to MAF setups often.
DSM ECU's can't directly run COP, but the stock ignition is great in the first place. Direct COP is often not better than a coil pack wasted spark setup.
Wideband is not important with the stock ECU, stock O2 sensor or none at all works fine.
DSMLink can't do flexfuel easy, but the difference between E70 and E80(I don't normally see over 805) isn't huge for most cars.

My Megasquirt is doing full sequential injection with 1150cc...
It could run COP but I have it using the stock coil pack...
Also my ECU isn't Eprom (which I guess there is a fix for that) but that was my push to use this system at the time.
IMO Megasquirt is catching on (not so much with the DSM unless it has a 420a motor) and it is rapidly advancing from what it was originally. It is becoming so much more user friendly with tuner studio

I really don't think MS2 or MicroSquirt is a low end system anymore
Maybe the MS1 chip with a V2.2 board is low end but what they have now is much better.
