Just as an update to this, I decided to top it off with E85 just to see what would happen. I put in just over a gallon and the result was that it completely eliminated the knock caused by the shitty holiday fuel. I went from 13 to 17 counts of knock yesterday during the heat to 5 to 7 counts last night when it was cool. Today in the middle of the afternoon with a gallon of E85 mixed in knock was 0 to 1.
Now I'm not recommending this, it was just an experiment with my POS Colt. I have no tuning equipment but I'm assuming it runs a bit rich with the factory unhacked 1G MAS.
