I guess I'll give my input on this. First of all my wife is Japanese and I have many good friends still in Japan. The first pic posted by enes came out about two years ago as the prototype for the R35. I think it looks like an R34 crossed with a S-15 Silvia. Anyway that never made it.
Skylines are dead in Japan. They died he ugly "Cut Emissions" death as the RX-7 and Supra. They are really cracking down on Emissions now. Nissan did come out with the Skyline 35. It is not the 350Z as stated above. Looks very similar but not the same car. It is just badged Skyline in Japan. It did come to the states as the Infinity G35. It is not selling well at all in Japan as everyone is buying the Fairlady (that's what they have call the Z in Japan from day one). I have not heard anything on a R35 yet and believe me I would know as I constantly talk to my friends in Japan and get Option/Option II magazines frequently.
Just within the last 8 months Nissan tried to recover from ther Skyline 35 error by setting up a deal with a tuning shop in Japan. The deal is that if you want a GTR you can now get the R32 GTR refurbished. They are buying back as many R32's as they can and using up all the factory parts they have on hand to restore them to factory settings. Everything goes back to stock. I don't remember the price but it was up there and the wait time was quite a bit. Pollution is bad in Japan so they have restriced the production of the big turbo power producers. I believe it is the end of that era. Sorry to say. At least I got a chance to own a R30 GT when I lived there. RWD Turbo Inline 6 with a 5 speed. I loved it.
