I've used a regular, non-selfadjusting welder's mask (just a lens on it) and looked at the sun and it was dark enough that it didn't hurt my eyes. Kinda cool actually.

Maybe i could just bring a monitor outside with me and hold it up to the sensor on the mask. Then it would work LOL
Or else i could use the cheap mask that comes with the welder (btw those are completly worthless, Having to hold the mask with one hand and weld with the other just makes no sence.
