need help! new to mitsustyle

tsi awd cut out at 5krpms! CONFUSED

hey everyone I just got another 1g dsm and I was doing some gear pulls after I put some stuff in the car.
wallbro 255 pump. full 3inch. mbc set at 16psi. aftermarket boost gauge

I was curious because I was wot and the car cut out at 5k rpms and the car fully shuts down for a split second...fuel cut possibley??? not sure. the car also will not start sometimes like it just keeps cranking over then smells like gas after a while. I changed to a new fpr fuel filter and checked my fuel pump to see if it was leaking there! everything was good there and still nothing.

I cant log my car and I have no wideband yet or anything to even try to tune with! I actually remember hearing if you take your bov tbe off and vent to atmosphere it runs richer? (correct me if im wrong but that's what a friend said) but I took the tube off and vent open on my bov then my car would pull to 5500rpms 1st gear and 2nd-4th gear was at 6krpms then maybe 5500rpms maybe once it did in 4th gear.
my buddie told me fpr and fuel filter would fix it...nope still at the same spot...idk what it would be I see a lot of people have had this happen but they all have different things...like usual. but anything that you can throw at me will help im going to ask my cousin to barrow his wide band. I did a BLT and it leaked I fixed all my couplers and the only thing that leaks now is my tb but its not bad at all...please help with any ideas much appreciated from my fellow dsmers
