Nissan - The Nazis are back!

A performance car that was designed to dominate the track, yet it can't be tracked, driven hard, or even dyno'd...perfect!

Be sure to watch the Hitler video.

God, these cars just suck. You can't do a damn thing to them and expect to keep the warranty

At least Mitsu puts a sticker under the Evo's hood on how to dyno it properly

People have been running into these issues for awhile now. Pretty ridiculous.

It's a Nissan, what do you expect. All these JDM cars look great until they come to the US and we find out they break just like the cars we had here.

You must spend a million dollars every time you change the brakes. This is normal.

lol.

For that kind of coin, I'd get a Porsche. It doesn't come with a huge warranty disclaimer and even a low power cheap one would be just as much fun to drive. Maybe not as fast, but the smile on your face would be just as big when you got out if it.

Re: Nissan - The Nazis are back!

Some of the rules are actually typical. Includeing the warranty not covering use on a racetrack. I heard, a while ago when the evos first came to the states mitsubishi people were showing up at the tracks and taking vin numbers for those that were at the track to void their warranty.
I know Ferrari actually has a similar list of dos and donts. I.E. Back when the F50 came out In order to purchase the Ferrari F50 you have to have owned at least 4 or 5 other Ferraris.
Give em a couple years and they will cool off.

Re: Nissan - The Nazis are back!

If you can truly afford the car, you can probably afford to void the warranty, lol. But true, I'd rather have many other cars for similar money. Like an RS4.

Re: Nissan - The Nazis are back!

Afford it or not, nobody should be subject to a $20k tranny bill for driving the car like it was marketed to be driven.

Re: Nissan - The Nazis are back!

Its really not that expensive of a car, so I wouldnt say if you can afford it, you should be able to replace the tranny every year @ 20k a pop. That is ridiculous.

Its amazing that the car has such great technology, now why dont they spend more money and design a better tranny to match.

Re: Nissan - The Nazis are back!

I could have swore that there was some kind of thing with these GT-Rs that if entered into an SCCA santioned event (it could have been a different one too I guess), the GPS would pick up the signal from the track, and crank up the tune in the ECU, but then it cost a grand to get it set back at the dealership or it would void the warranty. Not sure if this is actually true now, but that was the plan at the time I guess. Call me crazy but, I think I read that in Sport Compact Car back before the GTR even came out.

80k not expensive enough??

agreed though, this is a horseshit deal for the owners that hadn't known about this before they bought them

Re: Nissan - The Nazis are back!

Not expensive enough to say 20k can be thrown around like its nothing. Maybe a 300k + car..
