Everybody has their thoughts on this, so post away.

I only ask that if you make a selection in the poll, then add a reply to support your answer.

I like what I've read about the KAZZ units, but thought input from others might help.

I say go with Quaife's or Cusco. They Quaife front diff has had some issues with the teeth breaking, so beware of that. It may have just been a bad batch though, cuz there was just a streak and now it seems to be ok again (like ACT have a bad batch).

BTW, it's KAAZ. The only problem with Kaaz is that they are a clutch type and will wear out eventually. They do seem to work well though and are cheaper.

Well i got the Quaife in my trany, i haven't had the chance to test it yet since i only put about 30 miles on the rebuilt trany and i'm not going to be beating on it until mid next week after i put at least 200 miles on it. Then i will be able to give you more heads up.. HOWEVER this is on a fwd 2g with a big28 so not a lot of power.. maybe 250

If i were going to get LSD's it would be Quaife front and center. Quaife's aren't quite the same as a LSD. They are ATB (automatic torque biasing) and if I am not mistaken can send more than 50% of the power one way or another. The only problem I can see with them is that IF you lift a wheel they lose their effect.

Well, from what I have heard about Kaaz they are good units but will eventually wear out like Jet said since are a clutch type limited slip. And I believe you have to drive in figure 8's to break it in???

The Quaife would be my choice if I had the cash...In my FWD I actually went with the BM tranny unit in my front diff. Worked very well for the month I had it in there before I crashed my car! No need to worry about clutches, breaking gears, or spend a lot of money. As far as downsides to the BMtranny unit, I have heard some things about spring failure, but I believe that has been corrected with stronger units?

Bryan Nelson had a Quaiffe center diff go out on him up here in Duluth. The car saw maybe 3 drag passes and a little bit of track time at Brainerd, but overall it was driven easier than 95% of DSM's out there. The reason for failure was never determined, but I think he did buy a new one.

I use the BM-insert that V8Killa mentioned and it seems to work very well. The car felt different (better) in the corners and the launches seemed to be a bit more controlled. This is the updated insert with the stronger springs on a FWD car.
