We need to hire another tech to just work on cars. They don't need to know much about aftermarket parts, they don't have to know how to tune, they don't need to talk to customers or recommend product. They need to be able to work on all kinds of cars, do it correctly, and do a clean job. We don't need any Mitsu specific guys. So, I you know anyone good that is looking to work at a performance shop for low wages let me know.

If I only took the mechanics program at my tech school.... That is like my dream job. The whole reason I'm going to shcool for marketing is to make enough to open up my own shop, just like Elite or QPR. Good luck in finding some one. Sounds like a kick ass job. Noah

My friend kyle currently works at Toyota as a lube tech, I am sure he would be interested and he is very knowledgable. He built my brothers highly modified 350 V8, is currently building my own and two other DSM motors, and rebuilding a ford 302 for his truck.

He owns a FWD 1G which he is building up, and has good all around experience in all automotive situations. He also went to centruy college for two years in their truck/diesel program, mostly building of both gas and diesel engines.

I'm pretty sure he can do anything you guys would ask of him, let me know if you would like to get in touch with him, or I can have him contact you.

Chris

Did you miss the part about low wages? My friend makes $10 an hour changing oil until he goes to school next year at SAM in Texas. Granted he has no degree or certification as of yet, but He knows more than I ever hope to know. Don't be so quick to judge people you don't even know...

i just dont understand why you would go to school for that long, then get a job as an oil changer when your knowledge is a lot higher than most lube tech's.

coming straight out of school even I make twice that.

?? i dunno, on the other hand, i guess its easy work and you dont really have to think about anything...

Shane, are there any perks to go alone with it? Like some free Dyno time? It would be a cool part time job though for sure.

They're looking for FULL time I believe and correct me if I'm wrong shane, but someone who can tig weld.

As for chris carey, sorry, but honestly if it's the kid with the VW, I don't think they want a person who has a negative attitude about alot of shit, at least that is the impression I got everytime I was around the kid.

I think there's an implied age limit of 18 years old anyhow

Full-time. Free dyno. Low pay. No kids. Welding is a plus. No chatty Kathy's, no loudmouths, no haters, no people who talk too much about their own shit, no people who can't listen to other people's ideas or think they are God's gift to whatever they are obsessed with, nobody who can't keep from constantly burping as loud as humanly possible whenever they feel like it, no yelling "bitches & weiners" except by me. We are not looking for people with DSM experience. Knowing what things like a P28 is, how to tell OBD2-A from OBD2-B, why working on Nissan's suck so much, why not to mod a VW, how to make VTEC work on a car with no VTEC wiring and non-VTEC ECU, why you can't just wire an AFC into a 3G Eclipse, etc might be nice. They don't have to know a lot about this stuff, just be able to do the normal stuff correctly and very importantly cleanly and not ghettostyle, no shortcuts.

Cher ~ You may be talking about the same person, however he is one of my best friends, maybe you have only met him a few times? He is 18, would be looking to work full time, and owns his own welder. Granted it is not tig, but he can weld any kind of steel very well, and probably knows how to tig weld already just doesn't have the equiptment...

Off topic, but why do working on Nissans suck? Why shouldn't you mod a VW?
