Re: Opinions of the following turbos...

I would personally just get an Evo III 16g. I think they are pretty comparable power wise but last I checked the T28 killer was way more than the Evo III.

t28

When I called FP about my T28 they told me to run it til it spikes to around 28psi then falls back down to 21 or so. Not a bad turbo and looks bone stock. Just lacks the top end power of anything else. Great spool up, but from what I've read the Evo 16g will make more power. I'd recommend it for autox or drag. Seems to work well for both. Just probably wont hit an 11 on it without significant mods.

Re: Opinions of the following turbos...

If you want easy installation and a stock look go with the FP Big T28. Anything else will require more parts for the change over.

Definitely both proven very well. Just out of curious for the old codgers around here, has FP ever had a truly shitty turbo?

I've never seen one. There new stuff is much better than the old, but for the times, the old stuff was pretty damm good as well.

Re: Opinions of the following turbos...

Correct me if I am wrong, but arent the red and green turbos nothing more than garret 50 trim and 60-1 (cant remember which is which) center sections with FP's mitsu bolt up turbine housing?

They have Mitsu exhaust wheels also, which were quite a bit better than the normal Garrett exhaust wheels. The GT Garrett exhaust wheels nowdays are good though also.
