Hello all
Hi, my name is Tom. I've been into DSMs for about 5 years now and am finally getting one. I might be buying The LBUGAWD's 1991 TSi tomorrow. I can't wait to get this car, 1st gens are so sick and you gotta love the 6 bolt. I'll have a bunch of money left over from my modded Neon being sold tomorrow and I'll be ordering a Turbo/Wastegate/FMIC upgrade kit right away.
-Stainless Steel 321ss manifold
-HKS SSQ BOV
-38mm Wastegate
-24x12x3 FMIC
-Piping
-SAFC-II
-Tuning will be hopefully by Elite when all my parts come
All my friends highly recommended I join this board and it looks great and I know a few people on here too. I'm also NOT THE BLUE LAMPSHADE on mnsportcompacts.net.

Well, I was looking at the DSMtuners site and for now I'm going the stage 1 route, so I'll be keeping the stock turbo for now and have that tuned to happily run 16-18PSI for a while. The car needs some minor cosmetic work and I'm working with roughyl 1500$ in used and new stuff. I need new headlight motors and the car needs at least a good black primer coat with a sealant coat too. So all in all, I hope to be pushing as close to 300 HP as possible, so maybe 265-280HP is doable on the stock turbo and injectors with a large FMIC and the SAFC-II. What do you think?

Yea, I know I'm a n00b and still learning, but I'm working with Paintballpro69 and some other people I know and from what I've planned out, they say that I've got a pretty good setup going for this car to start; seeing as this is my frist car with a turbo.
Also, with the paint, it's just a quick fix for now since I guess the body looks like a ladybug, so one color will do it justice for now, and then jet black paint job in the spring with the bronze gram lights will set it off great. But then again, I've seen some pretty sick looking cars with the black primer paint job and I kinda like it. I'm gonna take it to my friends shop out in Corcoran, Sonny's Custom Paint if any of you know about, and have it done for cheap as I have a friend that works there.
Oh, and "NOT THE BLUE LAMPSHADE" is my name on CS and some other forums and it used to be part of a real funny saying that my friends and I made up when we got really drunk one time.

Mr. David Buschur Jr. right there. It's good to see someone actually reads those tuning guides versus 1/2 of the fucking idiots on Tuners who want a FP3575 right away.

Re: Hello all
You don't need new headlight motors. I explained the fix in another thread on here and I just did it on my 91 GSX. It took me all of 10 minutes to fix both lights. They work perfect now.

Re: Hello all
What are all the jokes about PbPro going big? He doesn't have any plans on going bigger than a t28 and having all supporting mods. He's not the "asshat" you guys make him out to be and he's really a knowledgable person and one of the main people I go to for anything car related.
And besides, we already have 8 streetable Geo Storms running FP3575s in our treefort.

Re: Hello all
It's not that he is going big. It's that he IS an ASSHAT. You better just sit on your hands and do reseach if you think he is even pointed in the right direction.

Well, whatever, some say he's an asshat and shit, and other like him. I personally have known him for a few years and I don't know what he doesn't know, but hey, who cares, this is not a discussion of asshat-ness.

Reid is dead-on right, Paint has made a less than stellar introduction of himself and his knowledge here.

Re: Hello all
I think someone was selling a 16g on this forum. Should look thru the for sale threads.
I'd rather get that and tune it than the 14b. The 14b is ok, but go for the 16g. Its just a direct bolt on for your 1st gen.
