Finally getting my house!
They accepted my offer and I close on June 15th.
I'll be having a big housewarming party June 18th if anyone is down for some free beer!
It's a little north (Ramsey) but it has plenty of property and a huge fricken deck
Here is the "other" garage

Can't wait to get my projects there now that I'm actually going to have some space and be able to work on them standing up!

Re: Finally getting my house!
Congrats on the new home ownership, it's definitely been my single best investment, I'm sure it will be yours too. Almost enough to offset the DSM upgrade loss that I've incurred over the last 8 years.

Re: Finally getting my house!
Congrats! Just out of curiosity, since I was shocked by the real estate prices last time you mentioned buying a house, what's this place pricing out at? $250,000?

Re: Finally getting my house!
Congrats Brian, that is excellent! I will be there, sounds like a good time!
The House thing was never a good investment for me. The last two I had went free and clear to the Ex Wives. Now I just blow all my money on tools. At least if I ever do find a blind Christian woman with a sick sense of humor and need to go way too fast most of the time, she won't likely give a rip about the tools

It's not heated yet but I'm going to be installing a 75,000BTU heater asap.
The drive will only take about an extra 40 minutes compared to now

Re: Finally getting my house!
Damn, that's a pretty decent price. The average house price in the greater TC area is $245K. That's what we should get for our existing house when we sell this summer.

What area are you moving too? As far as I recall, your area and house seemed pretty decent.

Re: Finally getting my house!
Are you sure that is all you will get Steve? My house might be a tad bigger, but you are in a much nicer neighborhood, and mine is worth about the same. I would have guessed yours was worth 265k, unless it is smaller than I thought.
Hey Brian, how far north in Ramsey are you?

Re: Finally getting my house!
I just did a neighborhood appraisal since a buddy of mine has access to the realtor MLS site, $240 is the norm, $250 is the high side for a house as small as miine. It's worth a bit more since I've put some upgrades in. The house we're buying is a huge step up.
