It's late, Easy question

I can't seem to find this anywhere; granted it's late, I'm tired, bla bla bla....

What are the dimensions of the stock 1G & 2G SMICs including endtanks?

I figured it would be on VFaq, nope. A search of "stock intercooler dimension" on both Toonerz and NABR turned up nothing.

Thanks

When I get home I can measure them for you Jakey. Or maybe JET or Nash can go outside and measure them if they aren't too busy or it isn't too shitty outside. What exact measurements do you want?

Re: It's late, Easy question

Craig I'm looking for the overall measurements (extremity to extremity). Basically I'm looking at using one for a project down here at school. We're turboing a 25hp 3 cylinder diesel engine and have a limited amount of space for an intercooler. So I figured that if one would fit, I could probably find a 1G or 2G intercooler for a decent price and use that.

Thanks

Specs on the engine we're using can be found here: http://www.lombardiniusa.com/liqutabl.htm
It is the LDW 903 and I see I was incorrect, it's gross horsepower output at 3600 is 23.06 horsepower. The details of the turbo conversion are still in the works as the project has solely consisted of getting the engine mounted in its new location so far. I'll try to get some pictures and post them up this weekend.

Re: It's late, Easy question

I had a few of each smics but I gave the 2g ones to mike because he wanted them. I have so many parts in my garage though. I will get the 1g specs tomorrow if nobody has posted yet.

Yeah, I went out there only expecting to find 2-3 2g cores and found a 1g somehow. I came inside and gave up on it.

The 2G core is smaller than the 1G core, but it has bigger inlet/outlets.

Re: It's late, Easy question

I already chucked them after pulling the inlets/outlest off them, sorry. They are pretty similar in width and height. (the 2G is slightly smaller) The main difference is the thickness, the 1G is probably twice as thick as the 2G.

I have a 2G in the shop now that is going to be getting an IC later this week, I can get exact measurements for you then.

The pillow thing is a bit wierd though Jake, you sure you want to express those thoughts in public?

I'd appreciate it if you could get me the dimensions.

As for the pillow thing, it must have been that 7:30 final I had this morning that set me off in a weird mood.
