SOON TO BE BOOSTED.... I am working on building a turbokit as you read this.

turbo kit as of now:
T3 Garret Airesearch Turbocharger
Tial Bov or TurboX knockoff
XSpower 50mm Wastegate
Bar and plate FMIC
Hard piping
Boost and air to fuel guages
Its a work in progress, i would like to be finished by the beginning of april, we will see what happens...

i think thats all, im sure there is more, but i cant think of anything right now

I am working on a 2.4/420A swap/Buildup right now also, i am running a 96 dodge caravan 2.4 block with:
Stock crank
SRT4/ JE 8:1 pistons
SRT4/ Eagle H beam connecting rods
and then bolting on my current 420a head... and boosting, while keeping the n2o on the car... should be interesting...

Re: SUPAs Progress

That sounds like a ton of work.
Have you ever thought about using E85?

What turbo are you actually using? Please don't just call it a "T3 Garret Airesearch Turbocharger" ever again, that is the longest vague description I have ever heard. The rest of the car sounds fairly well put-together, post pics man!

I dont understand. You said in another post that you only had a few hundred $ to spend on a "cheap" car but then you post up this thread?

Re: SUPAs Progress

Why did you build up that engine in the first place, if you were just gonna swap in a different block anyways?

Re: SUPAs Progress

So are Bosch platinum fusion iridum plugs made or platinum or iridium or both? Nitrous and platinum plugs don't mix.

Re: SUPAs Progress

1.) no e85, dont want to use it.... not my thing i guess.

2.) im not sure exacticly what kind of turbo it is, i think its like a 46 trim? i bought it from mike (totaleclipse)

3.) this is the reason i only have a few hundred to spend, cause i spent most of it on this thing, but yet it does not currently run... lol. and i did not dump all this money in overnight, it was done over a long process of time.

4.) when i built up this block, i was planning on staying with this block, and staying n/a with n2o, but later on (now) i decided its not enough, so i want to boost big time, instead of running like 15psi on the bottom end i have now, i would like to build up a bigger motor, and run alot more that 15psi...

5.) thats just what they are called, platnum iridums.. it didnt make sence to me either... but it seems to be doing fine with them in it.... oh btw, i did used to run platnums and n2o and had no problems... i have been running nitrous for quite some time now...

As far as pictures go, i do not have any real current ones of the motor, but i can post what i have, they are really crappy cell phone pics tho...

You got your hands full. Good luck with the new addition in your life. Also, good luck on the build.

I sent you that list to turn a 420a into a 420a-T.

Re: SUPAs Progress

um, you need to get rid of all that red, its too much for me, but its not my car.
ANYWHO, i had the same tach in my hyundai excel years ago, i just found it the other day.
Good luck, also if you are doing boost you will love E85 i guarantee.
Another point, you could still boost your current motor it will just be a little harder to tune because of the higher static compression.

Yeah, but 15psi on your setup could potentially feel like 20 psi on an 8.8:1 compression ratio if tuned up right. And you will have a little more power down low of the rpm band.

Use E85 and you can run way more than that!

Re: SUPAs Progress

It's hard to find.
It's inconsistant.
It requires a much larger fuel system.
You can't drive across country with a car that only runs on E85.
