i know i could still boost as is, but then i could only run 15ish psi... boring....

Yeah, but 15psi on your setup could potentially feel like 20 psi on an 8.8:1 compression ratio if tuned up right. And you will have a little more power down low of the rpm band.

Use E85 and you can run way more than that!
