Movie Remakes

I was just talking to a guy at work about this and thought I'd post it up here. What movies do you want to see remade with all the new abilities in the movie industry and maybe what actors would you have in a specific film.

I think Porkys would be a great series to remake. And then maybe a remake or spin off of Ferris Beullers Day Off.

Re: Movie Remakes

I don't know. So many remakes bomb, I think they just shouldn't remake movies.

Although, I'd support a remake of Back to the Future, as long as they used a Stealth instead of a Delorean.

later,
Curt

Re: Movie Remakes

I agree with Curt. There just isnt enough talent in Hollywood to make decent remakes. Everything worth seeing is original. The last remake that was good was probably Gone in Sixty Seconds.

Re: Movie Remakes

Starwars Episode I, II, and III

For these reasons: the new ones are completely inconsistant with IV, V, and VI in the catigories of visual rendering and technology

Dialogue was crappy

The only thing they didnt mess up was the storyline.

I think the old ones look better. In the new ones, it's too obvious that everything is just some cheezy video game looking shiney CGI.

Re: Movie Remakes

Jaws would be a cool remake probably.

I want to see the new Miami Vice though, that looks pretty good. What was that other cop movie remake just a few years ago? I liked it just can't think of the title.

Re: Movie Remakes

Yeah, Starsky and Hutch was good, but that is a movie from a TV series, like Miami Vice.

I think they should remake Conan the Barbarian and Cannonball Run.

Re: Movie Remakes

Cannonball Run was already pretty close to a re-make of The Gumball Rally for the 70s. The start of The Gumball Rally is pretty cool when they are racing through a deserted downtown New York City in the morning.
