Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
^x2.
how much more tight is that mustang dyno?
I just ask because with a 30psi on an old dsm 16g i made 410/440, and an EF1 will do that. However this was on a dynojet!
I hope you have a beer ready for when you smash those goals!!! Make sure you get some video!

bringing dynojet numbers to a mustang discussion, lol :P
I'm sure Ron's dyno reads a solid 10% lower than a dynojet, maybe more.

LOL 430/400? You basically already made those numbers with the EF3 on pussy boost.
Good luck man

Haha. Yeah like i've always said the power was great with the EF3 but spool wasnt on a stock 2.0. So I'm hoping this thing picks up atleast 40tq on Rons dyno and moves the powerband considerably left. The non anti surge cover should cetainly bring a couple 100rpms

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
It'll certainly have the power to hit 450 but not sure I want to run the stock block that hard.

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
I'm saying drop the pan and do rod bolts unless you have to machine for them.
From the small amount I know those seem to be the weak point.

Leave well enough alone. I wouldn't even do headstuds unless your head has to come off for something else.

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
Okay so this took longer than expected by like 2 months haha. Had to get new clutch, then break in, but were ready for a tune now...only that turned into another week away since Rons is headed to Arizona so next Monday or Tuesday is the day lol
