There has been a lot of threads on this lately on the national forums, team in Puerto Rico put it together, I guess the guy driving it is pretty beast.
Looks like the X can throw down solid numbers with the right driver and setup.

Re: New 1/4 Mile Record for the Evo X
Dubstep makes everything better I personally really enjoyed the 1G...old timer still kicking it with the new boy'z and all their fancy new Technology'zz. Fast evo....i wonder whether its on a OEM bottom end...and what drive train? Sounded like a regular transmission. I just watched a video the other day of the new EVO X horsepower record being like 908AWHP that was sweet!
Such short gears. Looks like everyone is braking x records lately.
He has a longer final drive too I believe.
Otherwise you are stuck shifting to 5th.
My car hits like 130ish before I have to shift to 5th and thats at 9000rpms. I am leaning towards a new final drive in the future, but not sold on it yet.
Andrew re-geared his IX and it's a great mod, especially with his increased displacement.
I really wish I would have had the 4.11 final drive put in my trans when it was rebuilt by shep 3 years ago. At the time, I never though I would have enough power to make it worthwhile.
I thought the X gears were the same ratios as the IX gears?
Very very similar; for real-world purposes you can consider them the same since tire choice will have a larger impact than the mechanical differences. Owning/driving both you'd be hard pressed to ever notice the difference.
It's funny because everyone on evoxforums was joking about the track being downhill or short or other things lol.
Seems to be a lot of "records" at PR that people question. But I guess people called out a bunch of PR guys and challenged them at a track in florida then the PR guys came and put a whooping on them.
