Anyone heard of GT Pro?
Its a shop here in CA that mostly tunes exotics, 3S', and many other cars. I heard he is REALLY good with the AEM EMS system (which hopefully he will be good with dsmlink then).
Im going to be getting tuned FINALLY on saturday at that shop. The tuners name is Denis. Just wondering if anyone has heard of them before?
Their website is www.gtpro.com

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
I've heard good things. Why not just go to RRE though since they have a ton of fast DSM experience?

Yes, they have been around for a long time with 3S's and a bit of DSM stuff.

Tom, quit trying to reinvent the wheel every chance you get. Go to RRE and get it done with.

DSMLink is the easiest system on the planet to tune.

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
the problem with RRE right now is that scot grey, the guy who tunes all those fast dsms is out of the country until thanksgiving. And they dont usually tune on the weekends, only on tuesdays.
Denis will be going to SEMA until friday night then saturday he is gonna tune.

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
So you're gonna go to a shop that has less expierence tuning DSM's, rather than wait a couple weeks and get it done at a shop that has loads of expierence? IMO, it seems kinda backwards.

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
plus RRE keeps talking shit because i buy shit from extremepsi instead of paying their high ass prices for the same shit. Scot Grey is cool but i dunno about the rest of them.

Good luck .
Fortunally like Shane said, anyone should beable to "tune" with a dsmlink, especially if they follow instructions

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
went to GTPro tonight, great shop, really nice, i felt like i was in a Lexas Dealership. They got her strapped to the dyno and couldnt get a good a/f reading and couldnt get it to idle for shit. Turned out that my Magnus SMIM Heat barrier gasket was bad and leaking. So im gonna go back next week after getting a new one and we will get her in tune and out of trouble.

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
Why bother with that? People on here have already proven that they're more trouble than they're worth. Do you really think air rushing through your intake manifold is going to have time to absorb heat before entering the engine?

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
im going to go pick up a normal intake manifold gasket right now. I bought that gasket when i got the INtake manifold. At least the bastard should run better now.

Do yourself a favor and do a boost leak test before you go back to the dyno. If you don't do that you are shooting yourself in the foot!

Why would Tom do any sort of pre-dyno or preventative maintenance?

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
Ya, I wouldn't go to RRE neither. I hate those guys. Especially when they give you a discount after you've shopped there a couple times, or when they send you free shit in the mail, or respond to your emails the same day. I'd feel much better having a shop that looks pretty tune my car rather than some OG DSMers.
As for the heat barrier, I've never heard anything bad about them. Do you have any links to proof of them sucking?

They work well in the Honda-world.

Re: Anyone heard of GT Pro?
The heat transfering to the intake manifold is where the positives might be had. The IM wouldnt get as hot as it would without a gasket, therefore reducing intake temps a little... Not sure how well it works with Forced induction because leaks probably occur more often.
Tom are you ever going to just do it right the first time?
