I don't think I agree with that. The air in my UICP is 121 degrees at the end of a run. That is cooler than the air under my hood. I don't want my IC piping absorbing a lot of heat and dissipating it into my cooler air in my UICP. I could see having the LICP aluminum and the UICP stainless. That would probably be the best combo of common materials.
I am probably going to be wrapping my UICP this year to try to eliminate heat absorbtion. The main time this is a problem is when at low speeds (staging lanes).
