I think college has become the new high school. The kids coming out of high school nowdays are as smart as junior high school students used to be and a lot of the college students don't have any common sense, or know anything about US or World events from more than 5 years ago, or know how anything works. I bet most of them think all the news about "Deep Throat" this week is about a porno movie.

What?! It isn't! Damn it, no wonder I couldn't find a midnight screening!

I have to agree with ecoli. 8 years out of high school for me, and the majority of teenagers now days are dumbasses and have very little common sense. It was quite the opposite in the late 1990s, but seems to have got downhill in a hurry. Hell, even college grads today seem unprepared for the real world, as if life is just a big game without responsibilities.

You guys are full of it. People have been saying that same garbage for fifty years. Lots of dumbasses make it through high school, they always have and lots of dumbasses get through college too. College is only as hard as the classes you choose to take. Its supposed to be that way.

I'm nearly done with my first quarter at Brown in Mendota Heights and you can definately see the difference between some of the older students and the newer students. The new ones just seem so unprepared and I don't know if that is because they don't have a lot of experience, or that high schools baby students so much nowadays. I have been out of HS for about 3 years now, but I can still see so much of a difference it is funny. I think it is great how someone spending 81K to be in my program and they just fluff through it, but that is kind of a different topic all together...
