Looks nice! Very OEM looking parts.
Besides the filter viewing window I agree!
It all starts with an innocent little intake mod... So whens the cam install and bolt-on turbo?. :)
Tell that to Scheides...he keeps sending me links for supercharger kits, and I just happened to drive past East Coast Superchargers last weekend.
Wow, that's a lot more of a gain then I would expect on a well-tuned factory car. Apparently they left plenty on the table. :D
It appears that Chevy did dial the cars back pretty far as lots of gains are already being found with intakes, headers, ported throttle bodies, tunes, etc. I've actually looked at the Diablo InTune a bit too which is basically the Accessport for domestics...20+ whp from the 93-octane tune, plus it also has a 91-octane flash available so it would be safe for my roadtrips.

The dealership had my car while I was in Chicago for a few days...long story short, I got a new air filter and an alignment covered under warranty :)

Still sitting in the box, wanted to get everything sorted out with the dealership first! I'll likely install it sometime soon. I am tempted to order the Diablo InTune soon too.

The dry-sump system basically purged oil into the intake pipe and that oil then drained out through the air filter. Chevy initially over-stated the oil capacity so the oil being over-filled is what caused that issue. Since the OEM paper air filter was drenched in oil they replaced it under warranty while only filling the oil to halfway between the min & max mark; I expect a revised dipstick will be made. Luckily I hadn't installed an aftermarket filter or intake yet otherwise it would have been ruined :) All should be well now though!

How does something like that get through testing? Sheesh! Glad you got it sorted out under warranty.

I think like any other first-year model, there are always things that don't pop up until more real-world miles occur. Chevy is aware of it now though and has released two TSB's pertaining to it (with the 2nd being released just a week ago). I think the initial test/prototype cars have tighter controls with only the factory techs touching them rather than the factory-certified dealer techs.

How many quarts does the engine take - originally from the factory, and after the new TSBs?
